The Research Center on Software Production Methods (ProS) // Centro de Investigación en Métodos de Producción Software, is a Universidad Politecnica de Valencia - specific research body.
The ProS Research Center is devoted to study new processes, methods and strategies to focus the software production process from a rigurous, relaliable and high aplicability perspective, and to transfer the results of these R&D activities to the industry from the local, national and international scopes.
The Mission of the ProS Research Center is "To improve the traditional software production methods, providing model driven methods and techniques to develop quality software in a systematic and productive way". |

On the 19th of june 2008 the Research Center on Software Production Methods (ProS) // Centro de Investigación en Métodos de Producción Software, is constituted as a Universidad Politécnica de Valencia - specific Research Center.
The ProS Research Center is the result of the growth of the Research Group on Software Production Methods (OO-Method), from the Department on Information Systems and Computation of the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV). The ProS Research Center is a UPV-specific research center as defined in the Research Structures Rules, aproved by the UPV Government Board on the 27th of July 2006, according to the articles 22 and 25 of the UPV Statute. Based on these rules, the ProS Research Center was approved by the Government Board on the 14th of June 2008. |

In June of 2008, after the constitution of the ProS Research Center, the elections for Director of the Center took place and the members of the ProS Technical-Scientific Board honored me with their vote electing me for this position.
In this new period during which I will be directing the future of the ProS Research Center, I would like to thank those that, with their unanimous vote have supported my labour at the OO-Method Research Group till this stage.
